Change in Worship Schedule - Beginning Sunday, February 28, 2010
As you know from our recent congregational meeting, Faith Family Community Church (FFCC) has communicated with our liaison, Mike Gray, the request to have St Mark consider ending Sunday services earlier, at 10:30 a.m. This would allow FFCC time between services to have a brief choir practice, as we do before our service, and to set up their sound equipment. Mike subsequently conducted a survey of our membership which was overwhelmingly positive toward starting our service at 9:30 and ending at 10:30. As a result, the Vitality Committee met on the issue and subsequently discussed the timing change with the Co-Moderators and Pastor. All have agreed to initiate the start time of 9:30 a.m. with the service on February 28, 2010.
The Co-Moderators and Pastor would like to thank the congregation for this positive response to FFCC, demonstrating our commitment to a continued and growing relationship. This further demonstrates that St Mark is an open, friendly and an extraordinarily welcoming church! We can change in small increments and make accommodations for others who are, in turn, helping us.
Along with this decision, we realize that there are several members of the congregation who have concerns regarding the earlier start time. Please know the leadership of St. Mark is committed to supporting your needs. That assistance includes help with such things as transportation to church or might even extend to “wake-up calls.
